2020 may be known for high school football being played during the coronavirus pandemic, it will be also know for an incredible year of battle between Louisiana’s high school football titans.

Catholic (Baton Rouge), after a 1-2 start, is back into the Division I championship game after beating former No. 1 Brother Martin 49-31. The victory means that the Bears will be playing in their fourth straight state championship game, winning the title in 2017.
In the state championship game on December 27, Catholic will face C.E. Byrd, which moves-up to No. 9 this week after edging No. 7 John Curtis 14-13.

Division II finalist De La Salle is also new to the Top 10 this week. The Cavaliers will will face No. 4 St. Thomas More. Both will enter the game a perfect 10-0. High School Football America Louisiana Top 10
The Catholic victory lifts four-time defending 4A champ Edna Karr back into the No. 1 spot in the High School Football America Louisiana Top 10 statewide rankings. Karr beat Catholic during the regular season in Week 2.
Karr advanced to the state semis after beating Eunice 40-7. The Cougars will face Warren Easton next week.
