Fairmont wins third West Virginia high school football state title in four years

Fairmont shocked the West Virginia high school football world by becoming the first 16th seed to win a state championship since Musselman did it in 1995. The Polar Bears claimed the Class AA title with a 21-12 win over Independence.

It’s Fairmont’s third state championship since 2018.
