Defending Division I champ St. Xavier sits on top of the first 2021 High School Football America Ohio Top 25 powered by NFL Play Football, the NFL’s initiative to provide fun and engaging experience for players of all ages and skill levels. The Bombers solidified their preseason No. 1 ranking with a 31-14 win over Lakota West.
St. X trailed 14-3 before scoring 28 unanswered points. St. X entered the game ranked No. 12 in our national rankings, while Lakota West was No. 70.

The Bombers will test that No. 1 ranking against No. 17 Colerain this week. Colerain is coming-off a 20-14 loss to No. 3 La Salle.
Speaking off La Salle, the Lancers, who play one of the toughest schedules in the nation, will take-on No. 11 Winton Woods.
The other intra-Top 25 battles this week are: No. 5 Pickerington Central facing No. 6 Elder; No. 10 Medina against No. 24 Avon; No. 13 Mentor plays No. 18 St. Ignatius; and No. 15 Toledo Central Catholic taking-on No. 21 Benedictine.
However, the marquee game of the week will be an interstate battle. No. 2 Archbishop Hoban taking-on New Jersey-power Bergen Catholic. Hoban is ranked No. 16 in our national rankings, while BC is ranked No. 13.
