The top three teams in the High School Football America Ohio Top 25 high school football rankings picked-up big interstate wins over the week.

No. 1 St. Edward, the state’s two-time defending Division I champ, had no problems in a 27-10 win over three-time defending Indiana 6A champ Center Grove. The win also moves the Eagles from No. 13 to No. 11 in our national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.

This week, St. Ed will play nationally-ranked Good Counsel from Maryland. GC is ranked No. 30 in America. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.

No. 2 Massillon Washington beat America’s all-time winningest high school football program. The Tigers beat Georgia’s Valdosta 28-17 to move to within eight wins of the Wildcats on the all-time wins list. Valdosta has 941 victories, while Massillon Washington now owns 933 wins.

No. 3 Archbishop Hoban crushed defending Kentucky 5A champ Douglass 45-6.

Cincinnati’s St. Xavier takes a four spot move up to No. 6 in our statewide rankings that are created with our proprietary algorithm. The Bombers shutout No. 7 Lakota West 10-0. This week, St. X travels to Detroit to face Michigan’s back-to-back Division 3 champ Martin Luther King.

Pickerington North bursts into the Top 25 with a 39-35 defeat of preseason No. 8 Elder. PN is ranked No. 10 this week. Elder tumbles to No. 11.
