Lee County makes a big jump in the first in-season High School Football America Georgia Top 25 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. The Trojans move from No. 25 to No. 18 after a season opening 26-19 win over Warner Robins. The Demons fall from No. 19 to No. 20 this week in the statewide rankings created with our proprietary algorithm.

On the national scene, Lee County moves to No. 167 from its preseason ranking of No. 241.

Top-ranked Buford made a three spot move in our national rankings. The Wolves sit at No. 4 nationally after shutting out former No. 3 St. Frances Academy (Maryland) 18-0 Friday night in a game that was nationally-televised on FloFootball.

This week, the Wolves will travel to North Carolina to play Mallard Creek, ranked No. 127 in the HSFA 300.

No. 12 Creekside has a big back-to-back games against out-of-state opponents coming up. This week, the Seminoles will play New Jersey power St. Peter’s Prep, ranked No. 155 in the nation. The Tribe will enter the game ranked No. 123 in the nation.

The Creekside/St. Peter’s Prep game will be televised LIVE on FloFootball.

On September 2, the Tribe will travel west was to square-off with the nation’s No. 1 team, Mater Dei in Southern California.

Like Buford, No. 17 Benedictine will be heading to North Carolina. The two-time reigning 4A champs will play Chambers, ranked No. 191 nationally. The Cadets are No. 160 in the HSFA 300 this week.

This week’s big in-state game features defending 7A champ Mill Creek, No. 4 in the statewide rankings, taking-on No. 21 Norcross.
