Freedom Bowl officials have announced the six match-ups for this year’s event that will be played August 31 and September 1 at Milton High School in Georgia. Five teams that finished last season in our High School Football America Top 100 national rankings will be in action at the event that features teams from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, New Jersey and Canada.
American Heritage (Plantation, Florida), winners of four state titles in the last five years, will square-off against New Jersey power St. Joseph Regional (Montvale, New Jersey) on September 1. American Heritage finished No. 6 in our Top 100, while St. Joe’s was ranked No. 41.
The opener on Saturday will feature defending Florida 3A state champ No. 62 Chaminade-Madonna taking on Muscle Shoals of Alabama. Saturday night will close out with defending Georgia AAAAAAA champ North Gwinnett, No. 47 in last year’s final Top 100, facing Wekiva (Florida).
On August 31, host Milton will take-on Cardinal Gibbons (Fort Lauderdale, Florida), which finished No. 72 in our national rankings that are created with our proprietary algorithm.
