The landscape for the next two Florida high school football seasons is set. Earlier this week, the Florida High School Athletic Association released the official classification, region and district assignments for the 2022 and 2023 season.
2022 will mark the start of Florida’s new Metro/Suburban/Rural classifications. Earlier this month, the FHSAA approved the realignment that will result in nine champs being crowned, one more than the previous eight.

The Metro classifications end in the letter M, while Suburban classifications will end in S. The new Rural classification ends in R.
