Florida leads 2023 NFL Draft with 36 former high school players selected

For the second time in three years, Florida had the most former high school football players taken in the NFL Draft. 36 former high schoolers from the Sunshine State were selected during the three-day event in Kansas City, Missouri.

Florida had six more picks than Texas, which had 30 players taken. With 23 picks, Georgia had the third most players taken, followed by California with 22, Illinois with 12, Michigan with 11 and North Carolina with ten.
