Florida News: Coral Springs hires former NFL Fullback Leonard Weaver as its head coach

Former NFL fullback Leonard Weaver, who played with the Seattle Seahawks and Philadelphia Eagles, is the new head coach at Coral Springs High School. Weaver is one of those great stories after not being drafted out of Carson-Newman University, he signed a free agent contact with the Seahawks in 2005. He made the Pro Bowl in 2009.

Weaver, who played his high school football at Satellite High in Florida, has spent several seasons as an assistant high school football coach.
