Two teams that finished No. 2 and No. 3 in the final 2023 High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, will open the ’24 season against each other. No. 2 Chaminade-Madonna, winners of three straight Florida state titles, will square-off with No. 3 St. John Bosco from Southern California August 24 in the Broward County National Football Showcase.
This will be the first matchup between the two programs that are known for playing powerful national schedules.
Last year, C-M finished just behind Bosco arch-rival Mater Dei for the national championship. The Lions beat eight teams during a 14-0 season that were ranked in the final HSFA 300.
Bosco, which spilt its two games against Mater Dei in ’23, is coming off an 11-2 season. All eleven wins came against teams that finished in our Top 300. It will be the second time that Bosco plays a team from the Lone Star State. In 2022, the Braves blew-out powerful Allen 52-14.
