Osceola (Kissimmee) soars into Week 15 of the 2024 High School Football America Florida Top 25 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, for the first time this year. The Kowboys sit at No. 16 after beating former No. 13 Armwood 17-7 for the Class 6A Region 2 championship.
Next up for Osceola is a meeting with Southridge in the state semifinals. On the other side of the 6A bracket is No. 15 West Boca Raton, which plays Buchholz for the right to head to Miami for the state championship game.
Both 7A semis feature head-to-head matchups inside our statewide rankings. No. 2 Venice plays No. 12 Miami Columbus. The winner of that one faces the winner of the game between No. 13 Lake Mary and No. 23 Dr. Phillips.
In the 5A semifinals, St. Thomas Aquinas, looking for its sixth straight state championship, plays No. 24 Manatee. In the other semi, No. 3 Lakeland plays Niceville.
In 4A, No. 5 American Heritage (Plantation) squares-off with No. 14 St. Augustine with the winner taking on the winner of the game between Jones (Orlando) and Naples.
There are two Top 25 teams alive in Class 3A. No. 11 Miami Northwestern squares-off with Eau Gallie. On the other side of the bracket, No. 25 Raines plays Sarasota Booker.
In 2A, No. 10 Cocoa plays unbeaten Cardinal Mooney and No. 22 Gadsden County faces Booker T. Washington (Miami).
No. 4 Chaminade-Madonna, winners of three straight Florida high school football championships, plays Jacksonville’s Trinity Christian Academy in the 1A semifinals. The winner of that one faces the winner of the game between No. 9 Clearwater Central Catholic and Cardinal Newman.
