After climbing into the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, over the last two years, Clearwater Academy International football has pulled-the-plug on its football program.

The school made the announcement on X, formerly Twitter last night.

Last season, CAI finished 5-4, ranked No. 233 in the HSFA 300. The Knights played one of the toughest schedules in the nation with six games against teams that finished in the Top 300.

The highlight of the season was a 35-34 defeat of Lakeland. After losing to CAI on October 20, the Dreadnaughts went on to win a second straight Class 4S state championship.
