Jerrime Bell is the new head coach at Mainland High School. Bell has spent the last three seasons as the head coach at Atlantic High School in Daytona Beach.

Bell, whose nickname is “Squatty,” replaces Travis Roland, who left the Buccaneers last month to take the head coaching job at Camden County in south Georgia. Bell was a defensive lineman for Mainland in the late 90’s.

Last year, Mainland won the Florida 3S state championship. It was the school’s first state title in 20 years.

The state championship led to Mainland being ranked No. 75 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.
