The High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, have a different look today.
Florida’s Norland, which climbed to No. 25 in our latest rankings, has forfeited its 32-27 win over American Heritage (Plantation, Florida) on October 14 for using an ineligible player.
According to the Miami Herald, “Norland senior wide receiver Jade Card, who caught the winning touchdown pass in the final minute of the win over Heritage, was ineligible to play in that game on Oct. 14 since he was still supposed to be serving an unsportsmanlike suspension, which required him to sit out two games per FHSAA policy 16.10.1.
The forfeit drops Norland’s record to 6-3 and strips the Vikings of the Class 4A District 15 title. AH is now the district champ with a 6-3 overall record.
The forfeit also drops Norland from No. 33 in the HSFA 300.
American Heritage is now No. 27 in our national rankings created with our proprietary algorithm.
