After two years at Del Valle High School outside of Austin, Texas, former IMG Academy (Florida) head coach Bobby Acosta is heading back to the college ranks. Acosta has taken the job as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Arkansas at Pine Bluff, an FCS college football program.

During 2020, Acosta led IMG to the High School Football America national championship, powered by NFL Play Football. It was his only year at the Bradenton academy.

Prior to taking-over at IMG, Acosta was the offensive coordinator at the College of St. Scholastica in Minnesota. He has also held college coaching jobs at Syracuse, Cornell, Bucknell, Rowan and Widener.

At Del Valle, Acosta produced back-to-back 2-8 seasons in an extremely tough district that includes High School Football America 300 regulars Lake Travis and Westlake.

UA-Pine Bluff hired Alonzo Hampton in December as the program’s new head coach.
