Jon Kitna, who had a 16-year career as a quarterback in the NFL, is the new head football coach at Brophy Prep in Arizona. Kitna spent the last three years rebuilding the program at Waxahachie High School in Texas.
Kitna, who began as a high school head coach at his alma mater, Lincoln High in Tacoma, Washington, took over a struggle program at Waxahachie, going 6-4 in his first two years before making the playoffs last year. His record over three years was 20-13. At Lincoln, Kitna was 25-7 in three season, winning three district titles.

Brophy was 1-9 last season under Scotter Molander, who resigned after 13 years as the school’s head coach.
