Nashville, Tennessee continues to be the place to be for former NFL quarterbacks, who want to coach at the high school level.
The Ensworth School has announced that former NFL QB Tim Hasselbeck is the school’s new head football coach. He takes over the program after serving as a coach at the middle school level at Ensworth.
Hasselbeck played with several teams in a backup role over a six-year professional career. He is the younger brother of Matt Hasselback, who played 17-years in the NFL.
The brothers played their high school football in Massachusetts at Xaverian Brothers. Tim was named an All-American by USA TODAY after his senior season.
Last year, Ensworth finished 8-3, advancing to the second round of the playoffs. Hasselbeck replaces Roc Batten, who resigned at the end of the season after going 32-22 in five seasons at the helm.
Hasselbeck will be the fifth former NFL’er to be a head coach at a Nashville school in 2024.
