Locke Indians footballLocke High School has hired former USC star wide receiver Mike Williams as the school’s new head football coach.

Williams, who was a first round draft pick by the NFL’s Detroit Lions, never achieved the career that many thought he would have after leaving USC early.  During his high school days at Plant High School in Florida, Williams caught 101 passes for 2,223 yards and 34 touchdowns.

Williams told Eric Sondheimer of the LA Times, “I’m excited to get to work.”
