After two seasons at the college ranks, former Manvel High head coach Kirk Martin is returning to Texas high school football. Monday night, the school board for Colleyville Heritage approved the hiring of Martin, who spent the last two seasons as Syracuse University’s quarterbacks coach.

During his time at Manvel, Martin led the Mavericks to two state runner-up finishes with an overall record of 108-25 with six district titles.

Martin takes-over for Joe Willis, who left earlier this year to become the head coach at Tyler Lee.
