No. 3 St. Thomas Aquinas was challenged by No. 103 Homestead in a High School Football America 300 battle for the Florida 3M state title, but when the smoke cleared, the Raiders owned their fourth state championship in a row.
The first half was extremely close with the teams going to the locker room tied at 7-7. STA opened a 21-7 lead in the third, but the Broncos kept it close at 21-13 and 31-21. At the end, the Raiders hoisted the trophy with a 38-21 decision.
The title is the 14th overall for STA.
