It was another calm week in the High School Football America 100 national high school football rankings with only four teams that weren’t involved in head-to-head Top 100 matchups losing.
The Washington Catholic Athletic Conference showdown between Gonzaga (Washington, DC) and Good Counsel (Maryland) that went to five overtimes caused most of the shake-up in this week’s new Top 100 high school football rankings.
Related: On the Bubble – No. 101 through No. 125.
Good Counsel’s 42-35 victory over the Eagles, who entered the game ranked No. 7 in the nation, pushes the Falcons to No. 19 this week. Gonzaga drops to No. 21. This week, Gonzaga will face No. 22 DeMatha (Maryland), which will be playing its WCAC opener.
New to the rankings this week are: Whitehaven (Tennessee) at No. 97, Buford (Georgia) at No. 98, De Smet (Missouri) at No. 99 and South Dade (Florida) at No. 100.
