5-star EDGE rusher Nyckoles Harbor of Archbishop Carroll is Gatorade’s District of Columbia Football Player of the Year. He helped lead Carroll to a 10-3 record and the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference Metro Division championship.

Gatorade News Release:

Harbor recorded 45 tackles, including 16.5 for a loss and 5.5 sacks with two fumble recoveries and two blocked kicks. Ranked as the nation’s No. 11 recruit in the Class of 2023 by 247Sports.com, he also caught 15 passes for 439 yards and five touchdowns and was credited with 20 pancake blocks.

Also a two-time Gatorade Boys Track & Field Player of the Year, Harbor is a member of the Archbishop Carroll High Men of Valor. He has volunteered locally with Generosity Global as part of community beautification projects and by performing community outreach. He has also donated his time to Archbishop Carroll High School’s annual food drive.

“Nyckoles Harbor’s presence changes the game for opponents,” said Kenny Lucas, head coach of Bishop O’Connell High School. “He presents challenges in all facets of the game—offensively, defensively and on special teams. It’s not very often you face a guy with his size and athletic ability. You have to know where he is on the field at all times.”

Harbor has maintained a 3.73 GPA in the classroom. At the time of his selection, he remained undecided upon a collegiate destination.
