Milton is one win away from going wire-to-wire at the top of the High School Football America Georgia Top 25 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. Next Tuesday, the Eagles, who won the 7A state title last year, will play No. 8 Langston Hughes for the Class 5A state championship at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home of the Atlanta Falcons.
The Fulton County school, which is currently on a 24-game win streak, is also in the national championship hunt. Currently, the Eagles are No. 2 in the HSFA 300.
No. 2 Carrollton is looking for its first state championship in Georgia’s largest classification. The Trojans will play No. 4 Grayson for the 6A title.
Marist makes its first appearance in the statewide rankings this week. The War Eagles, who are ranked No. 22, will North Oconee for the Class 4A championship. The Titans are just outside of the Top 25 at No. 28. They are ranked in our national rankings at No. 299. It’s the first time they’ve appeared in our national rankings.
