Georgia Top 25 high school football rankings through 1st Round of playoffs

It’s only Round 2 of the 2021 Georgia high school football postseason, but this Friday fans will be treated to a game that could easily be for the 5A state championship. In fact, the showdown between No. 5 Warner Robins and No. 7 Cartersville is a replay of last year’s state title game won by Warner Robins 62-28.

Both teams are also highly-ranked in the High School Football America 100 national rankings powered by NFL Play Football. Warner Robins is ranked No. 48 in the nation. Cartersville is No. 59.

Warner Robins is looking to play in its fifth straight state championship game. It’s only win was last year.

In Class 7A, there are three head-to-head Top 25 matchups — No. 3 North Cobb plays No. 13 Roswell, No. 4 Milton takes on No. 22 Marietta and No. 17 Walton squares-off with No. 20 Archer.

Walton is coming-off an impressive 41-17 take-on of former No. 10 Colquitt County.
