With a loaded Class AAAAAAA playoff field, there’s no surprise that Round 2 gives us a couple of big head-to-head matchups this weekend. No. 4 Walton will plays No. 9 Hillgrove and No. 8 Parkview faces No. 11 Archer. All four teams along with seven other teams from the Peachtree State are also ranked in the High School Football America 100 national rankings.
And, there’s a big head-to-head in AAAA where No. 15 St. Pius X will meet No. 17 Marist for the second time this year. SPX beat Marist 17-0 in mid-September.
New to the rankings this week — Tift County at No. 21 and Dutchtown at No. 23.
