Glacier wins back-to-back Montana girls’ flag football state championships

Two years into girls’ flag high school football in Montana, Glacier High School is proving it knows a thing or two about the sport. Thursday, the Wolfpack defeated rival Flathead 28-13 for its second straight state championship.

Last year, High School Football America’s Jeff Fisher talked with Glacier head coach Mark Kessler about the growth of the sport in the state, thanks to the National Football League’s Atlanta Falcons. You can listen to his NFL Play Football Podcast below.

In its second year, girls’ flag grew from three to five teams in the state.
