Glassboro is a first time New Jersey high school football champ after beating Cedar Grove 56-14 for the Group 1 championship at MetLife Stadium, home of the NFL‘s New York Giants and Jets.

Kenny Smith had a huge game with 402 yards on 20 carries and four touchdowns. The performance closed-out a career that saw him rush for 5,383 yards. After tranfering from Hammonton and missing the first three games of the year, Smith ran for 1,809 yards on just 141 yards. He scored 23 TDs.

The win caps a perfect 13-0 season for Glassboro.
