Gulf Shores beat defending 5A Ramsay 21-14 Thursday night at Bryant-Denny Stadium to capture the school’s first-ever Alabama high school football championship. The Dolphins got out to a 21-0 lead in the first quarter and then held on the rest of the way.
NC State commit Ronnie Royal was named the game’s MVP. He had 245 all-purpose yards with two rushing touchdowns. On defense he had four tackles and an interception.
