Hawaii No. 2 Mililani loses to California’s Mission Viejo

California’s Mission Viejo, ranked No. 49 in the High School Football America 100 preseason national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, beat Mililani, ranked No. 2 in Hawaii, 34-21 at John Kauinana Stadium Friday night.

The visiting Diablos raced-out to a 27-7 lead midway through the third quarter and never looked back. Quarterback Kadin Semonza completed 23-of-40 passes for 192 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for a score.

Semonza connected with five different receivers. Mikey Matthews caught 10 passes for 68 yards.

Mililani QB Treston McMillian was 16-of-29 for 275 with three touchdowns. He also threw three interceptions.
