Sunday’s new High School Football America 100, powered by NFL Play Football, will be shaped by seven head-to-head matchups this weekend.

The biggest game in the nation is in Georgia where No. 2 Buford hosts No. 20 Mill Creek. One state over, No. 38 Auburn faces No. 66 Central (Phenix City, Alabama).

In Ohio, No. 11 Archbishop Moeller will try to keep its name in the national championship conversation when it faces No. 39 St. Edward.

Saturday

St. Ed shutout Moeller 6-0 in a matchup of two of the best in Division I. The reigning state champs won it on two field goals (46 and 47-yards) by Ben Lavalle.

Friday

No. 2 Buford ran its win streak to 18-straight with a 39-27 win over No. 20 Mill Creek. 5-star Alabama-recruit Justice Haynes ran for 216 yards with two touchdowns.

There are now no unbeaten teams in Alabama’s 7A classification after Central’s 38-17 defeat of Auburn. Central QB Jaylen Epps led the way passing for 181 yards and 76 yards rushing. The Red Devils dominated time of possession 31:03 to 16:57

In North Carolina, No. 92 Mallard Creek won a 13-9 defensive battle with No. 70 Hough. Neither team scored an offensive touchdown.

Mallard Creek’s defense came-up with three interceptions, two of which were returned for touchdowns.

Thursday

In California, No. 81 Los Alamitos takes-over control of the Sunset League with a 52-27 win over No. 85 Edison (Huntington Beach). It was the first loss of the year for the Chargers.

Los Al quarterback Malachi Nelson threw for three scores and Damian Henderson ran for 262 yards and two touchdowns.

In Utah, No. 79 Skyridge wrapped-up a 9-1 regular season with a 37-0 shutout of No. 159 American Fork.
