High School Football America 300 scores for Week 7 of the 2024 season
gamestrat high school football sideline instant replay

Maybe the biggest story of this weekend is how Hurricane Helene is changing the schedule across numerous states in the southeast and beyond.

The best way to keep up with the High School Football America 300 during Week 7 is on this page. Throughout the weekend, we will keep this page updated with scores and recaps.

Sunday Games

In Michigan, No. 160 Detroit Catholic Central is now 5-0 after beating No. 252 De La Salle Collegiate 31-14.

In Kentucky, No. 100 Male improved to 4-1 with a 41-21 win over Pleasure Ridge Park. Up next for the Bulldogs is a showdown with Frederick Douglass (3-2) this Friday.

Saturday Games

In New Jersey, No. 9 Bergen Catholic and No. 152 Don Bosco Prep played the 80th renewal of their grudge match. After winning the program’s 500th win last week, BC won No. 501 with a 24-20 win over the Ironman.

BC has now won five straight against their arch-rivals to cut into DBP’s all-time series edge 41-37-2.

In Florida, No. 50 Jones (Orlando) won for the second time this week. The Fighting beat Auburndale 49-7 to improve to 6-0 on the season. Jones shutout Winter Park 22-0 on Tuesday.

In Indiana, No. 76 Brownsburg beat No. 78 Westfield 17-13 for the top spot in the Hoosier Crossroads Conference.

In Kentucky, No. 244 St. Xavier beat their arch-rival Trinity, No. 80 in the HSFA 300, 16-10. The game was moved to Saturday and away from Louisiville’s L&N Stadium, because of Hurricane Helene.

It was the 93rd meeting between the two. Trinity still leads the all-time series 50-41-2.

In Georgia, No. 95 Lee County beat No. 53 Thomas County Central 35-23 in a battle of unbeatens. TCC, which won the Georgia 6A state championship in 2023, was riding a 20-game win streak.

In Hawaii, heavyweights Kahuku and Mililani battled for regular season bragging rights. When the smoke cleared, No. 46 Mililani beat the three-time reigning Open Division champs 14-10.

Friday Games

No. 43 DeMatha (Maryland) picked-up an impressive 20-14 road victory over No. 22 Massillon Washington (Ohio).

In Alabama, No. 52 Clay-Chalkville beat No. 68 Thompson 14-13 in overtime. After C-C scored first in overtime, Thompson scored to close the gap to one point. However, a celebration penalty was assessed after the touchdown, which resulted in Thompson missing the extra point to tie it up and send the game to a second overtime.

Thursday Games

In Ohio, in a battle of reigning state champs, No. 229 Glenville (Division IV champ) edged three-time reigning Division I champ St. Edward, ranked No. 24 in the HSFA 300, 28-27. The Tarblooders is looking for their third straight state title this year.

The game game down to the final play with Glenville’s Aaron Scales getting an interception with 1:08 left at the goal line to preserve the victory.

Wednesday Games

In No. 92 Gainesville is now 4-1 after shutting-out Johns Creek 48-0.

No. 204 Warner Robins (Georgia) is now 4-1 after beating Wayne County.

Tuesday Games

Because of Hurricane Helene, No. 15 Lakeland (Florida) played Tuesday evening.

Lakeland improved to 5-0 with a 63-0 shutout of arch-rival Lake Gibson, which runs the Dreadnaughts overall win streak to eleven straight. They only needed five plays to take a 35-0 lead.

According to Ray Fuoco of The Ledger:

Lakeland recovered a blocked punt at the Lake Gibson 1-yard line on the Braves’ first possession of the game, and Malik Morris ran in for the touchdown on the second play.

Lakeland tackled Lake Gibson’s punter for a 5-yard loss on the next drive and Zander Smith went on to hook up with Shanard Clower for a 14-yard touchdown pass.

Lakeland took over at the Lake Gibson 43-yard line after another three-and-out after the Braves finally got off a successful punt. Smith then passed to Cam Fuse for 22 yards and to Clower for a 21-yard touchdown pass to make it 21-0.

Then, Lakeland’s defense got in on the party and scored back-to-back touchdowns. Jordan Young went 80 yards on an interception return, and Morris went 48 yards on a fumble recovery. Morris’s second touchdown made it 35-0 on the last play of the first quarter.
