The curtain falls on the 2017 Alaska high school football season, but Soldotna has already locked-up the No. 1 ranking in our Top 5.  All that remains to be determined is — who’s No. 2.

The Division I championship game this weekend pits No. 2 Bartlett taking-on No. 5 West.  Both teams pulled-off upsets in the state semifinals with Bartlett beating unbeaten No. 2 Chugiak 75-62 and West knocking-off defending state champ East 21-18.

Soldotna claimed its sixth straight state title over the weekend beating Palmer, while Barrow (Utqiagvik) claimed its first state title in Division III.
