It’s championship time in Maine and lots of changes in the next-to-last High School Football America Maine Top 5.
Former No. 2 Thornton Academy was knocked-out of the Class A playoffs with 49-7 loss to No. 4 Scarborough, who will play Windham for the state title this weekend. Scarborough moves-up to No. 2 this week.
No. 1 Marshwood will play Showhegan for the Class B title. Marshwood edged No. 3 Falmouth 31-28 in the state semis.
Maine Central Institute plays Cape Elizabeth for the C title, while in Class D, Foxcroft takes-on Wells.
The Class E title went to Boothbay, which beat Maranacook 20-14 over the weekend.
