After having last week’s game against Bishop Manogue cancelled due to poor air quality in the Reno-area, top-ranked Bishop Gorman heads to Naples, Florida for a big showdown with Florida-power Miami Central. Both teams are ranked in the High School Football America 100 national rankings powered by NFL Play Football.

BG is currently ranked No. 55 in America, while Miami Central is No. 30.

Both teams will be well-rested, since Miami Central had a bye week last week after losing in Week 1 to No. 5 St. John Bosco in Southern California.

The last time these two national powers met was in 2017 when Miami Central won 24-20 in Las Vegas.

As far as the latest High School Football America Nevada Top 10, Gorman, Liberty (No. 2) and Desert Pines (No. 3) continue to hold the top three spots.

Arbor View, after a season opening loss to Liberty, moves from No. 7 to No. 4 this week. The Aggies move-up after a 23-3 win over former No. 8 Faith Lutheran.

Silverado breaks into the Top 10 at No. 6 after knocking-off former No. 9 Centennial.
