It’s championship week in Ohio and by the end of the day Saturday, we’ll have seven state champions and know who is No. 1 in the High School Football America Ohio Top 25.

Pickerington Central heads into the Division I title game against Mentor as the No. 1 team in Ohio.  A Tiger win against No. 2 Mentor on Friday would wrap-up the top spot in the final Top 25 that will be released on Sunday.

PC is currently ranked No. 38 in the national Top 100. Mentor is No. 39 nationally.

Trotwood-Madison jumps three spots in the latest rankings to No. 3. This week, the Rams will play Tri-Valley for the Division III championship.

Thursday night, two-time defending state champ Archbishop Hoban moves from No. 7 to No. 4. After two straight Division III titles, Hoban will play No. 8 Winton Woods for the Division II state championship.

No. 17 Steubenville will go after the Division IV title against Clinton-Massie. The Big Red is coming-off back-to-back runner-up finishes. Steubenville will be looking for its first state title since 2006.

No. 23 Marion Local will be looking for its sixth state title in the last seven years in the Division VI title game.  The Flyers will play Kirtland on Saturday.
