It’s official, we will release the High School Football America Preseason 100 next Friday, June 28. The date marks the 15th anniversary of High School Football America that begin in 2004 as a small blog and a dream known as The High School Football Huddle and then transitioned into HSFA in 2009.

For those of you not familiar with our rankings, they are created with our proprietary algorithm. We began using our algorithm for the 2013 season.

As I always like to tell everyone, the preseason rankings are designed to celebrate the start of the regular season and our algorithm is designed to work better in-season when on-the-field results count.

Between now and next Friday, we will be releasing our On the Bubble Teams — ranked No. 101 through No. 125 — and our Honorable Mention teams, which are the teams behind No. 126 and No. 225.

Last year, 59 of the teams that began the season in the Preseason 100 finished in our national rankings. And, 21 of the team’s that began the season in our Top 25, finished there.

Below is the final 2018 rankings with where teams began the season.
