The next five weeks are going to be fun when it comes to the High School Football America San Diego Top 20 that is created with our proprietary algorithm.  There are numerous inner-Top 20 match-ups to keep fans entertained when trying to figure-out the top team in the section.

Specifically, things will be very interesting in the Avocado League where all seven teams are ranked in the Top 20.  Heading into this weekend, top-ranked Mission Hills and No. 5 San Marcos lead the way with 2-0 league records.

San Marcos will take-on No. 12 Torrey Pines (3-2, 0-1) this week, while No. 7 La Costa Canyon, 1-0 in league play, will be tested by No. 8 El Camino, which is 1-1 in the league.  The third league match-up this weekend features No. 10 Carlsbad facing No. 18 Oceanside, which slides-up one spot this week after beating former No. 18 Mater Dei last week.

In the Grossmont Hills League, No. 2 Helix will face San Diego Top 20 newcomer Steele Canyon, which breaks into the rankings at No. 19 this week.

In the Western League, No. 3 Madison will square-off against No. 11 Cathedral Catholic and No. 13 Point Loma will face No. 15 St. Augustine.
