For the first time in four decades, Seattle Prep beat No. 3 O’Dea 15-14 last Friday night. Senior Alijah Vaouli-Buchanan’s three-yard touchdown run with three seconds to go moved the Panthers to within a point at 14-13.

Seattle Prep went for two and Vaouli-Buchanan ran in the two-point conversion, which gave the Panthers a first win over the Fighting Irish since 1980.

The win moves the Panthers to No. 9 in the latest High School Football America Washington Top 10 statewide rankings. O’Dea tumbles seven spots to No. 10.
