15-years ago today, High School Football America co-founder Trish Hoffman uttered four words that changed the high school football media landscape.

The award-winning journalist was discussing the future of the fledgling media company she founded and invested in. At the time, she and I were five years into a series of 51 blogs called The High School Football Huddle. While, the venture was picking up steam with readers around the country, Hoffman believed the company needed a better brand identity.

While sitting oceanside in Laguna Beach, California, Hoffman told me she thought there was a better name than the one we were using. Within a matter of seconds, Trish said, “we should be called High School Football America.”

The name rang perfectly in my ear. But, I immediately said, “I’m sure that is already taken.”

We were both extremely happy when we discovered that High School Football America was available…and 15 years later, the rest is history.

To celebrate March 9, 2009, we are releasing a new logo (above) today that brings together one of our first logos with our most recent logo. And, it also celebrates the 20th year of High School Football America/The High School Football Huddle.

Thanks to Trish for everything she’s done for our company and high school football fans around America.
