High School Football Practice begins in Texas

While the opening day of Fall camp is a big deal all around the country, it’s just a big bigger in Texas. Monday marked the beginning of conditioning with the state’s governing body, the University Interscholastic League, allowing full contact starting on August 10.

Twelve Texas teams begin the season ranked in the High School Football America Preseason 100. Class 6A Division II runner-up Duncanville leads the way at No. 5, followed by defending 6A-I state champ North Shore at No. 8.
