Friday night’s showdown between defending state champs Highland Springs and Manchester was the tale of two halves.
Highland Springs, the four-time defending 5A champs, scored 26 unanswered in the second half to defeat Manchester 26-16. The loss snapped the Lancers’ 20 game win streak

Manchester jumped-out to a 16-0 halftime lead scoring ten of those points off of Highland Springs turnovers. The Springers turned the ball over three times in the first half.

Highland Springs quarterback Jamareeh Jones scored two touchdowns in the second half to lead the Springers to their 36th straight victory.
