Hoover’s Niblett gets raise to become highest paid HS football coach in Alabama

There’s no doubt that Hoover High head football coach Josh Niblett is one of the top coaches in Alabama. Now, he’s the top paid coach in the state.

Al.com is reporting that the Hoover School Board has given Niblett, who has won four state titles in seven years with the Bucs, a raise from $114,471 a year to $125,000.  Earlier this year, Auburn hired Adam Winegarden at $123,000, which made him the highest paid coach at that time, passing Thompson High‘s Mark Freeman.

It’s the fourth time in the last year that Alabama has had a coach move the to top of the pay scale list

3. Mark Freeman, Thompson – $121,000

4. Josh Floyd, Hewitt-Trussville – $120,000
