Saturday will go down as the day that shaped the 2015 High School Football America national championship chase.
Three of our Top 5 teams tasted defeated, including #1 De La Salle (California), which lost to #23 Euless Trinity (Texas) 26-21. The Spartans loss should open the door for three-time High School Football America “mythical” national champ Allen (Texas) to move back into the top spot. The #2 ranked Eagles opened the season Friday with an impressive 48-16 win over Denton Guyer.
In Maryland, #21 DeMatha (Maryland) recorded an impressive win over Miami Central (Florida) 38-14. #5 DeSoto (Texas) also saw its lofty preseason ranking go up-in-smoke with a 46-26 loss to Arlington Martin (Texas).
