The battle for the top spot in the High School Football America Georgia Top 25, powered by NFL Play Football, will be decided into two weeks. After a bye week this week, the top-ranked Wolves will host the Hawks has lots of storylines.
Aside from the No. 1 ranking in our poll, winner will have the inside track to the 7A Region 8 title. Both teams are also in the hunt for a HSFA national championship. Buford is No. 3 in the latest HSFA 300. Mill Creek is currently No. 20 in the nation.

Cedar Grove and Roswell move-up three spots each in the latest rankings created with our proprietary algorithm.
Cedar Grove is No. 6 after an impressive road victory in the nation’s capitol. The Saints beat St. John’s College High School. The Cadets entered the game ranked No. 15 in the nation. The win moves CG to No. 49 in our latest national rankings.
Roswell sits at No. 14 after beating Blessed Trinity 41-10.
In the southern part of the state this week, No. 12 Valdosta and No. 19 Lowndes will battle in their annual Winnersville Classic. This will be the 61st meeting between the two schools. Valdosta leads the all-time series 36-24.
In another Top 25 head-to-head this week, No. 5 Walton faces No. 8 North Cobb.
New to the Top 25 this week is Marist at No. 25.
