HSFA Georgia Top 25 heading into the state championships

It’s championship time in Georgia with Mercedes-Benz Stadium hosting the title tilts for the first time in four years. The 7A, 6A and 5A championship games feature head-to-head matchups inside the High School Football America Georgia Top 25 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.

In 7A, No. 1 Walton is looking for its first-ever state championship. The Raiders will square-off with red-hot Milton, which has climbed to No. 4 after back-to-back wins against Colquitt County and Grayson.

In 6A, No. 10 Thomas County Central is looking for its first state title since 1997. On the other sideline will be No. 13 Woodward Academy, looking for its first state championship since 1980.

No. 9 Creekside faces No. 24 Coffee in the 5A championship game.

Stockbridge makes its first-ever appearance in our statewide rankings. The No. 19 Tigers upset two-time defending 4A champ Benedictine last week to advance to Mercedes-Benz where they’ll play Perry.

The loss drops Benedictine from No. 9 to No. 22.
