After a 3-1 non-conference start to the 2023 season, No. 1 Catholic Memorial opens Catholic Conference play this week against No. 4 Xaverian Brothers (3-1). The two-time defending state champs only loss came against Florida’s Cardinal Newman, ranked No. 218 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings.

Inside the HSFA Massachusetts Top 10 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, No. 6 Everett picked-up a big non-league win. The Crimson Tide edged BC High 35-34 when Carlos Rodrigues tossed a 3-yard touchdown pass to Jaysaun Coggins with :04 seconds to play.

New to the rankings this week is Needham at No. 9.

At the bottom of the rankings is 0-4 Central Catholic. But, all four CC losses have come against Top 10 teams.
