No. 1 St. Edward is off to an impressive start. The Eagles moved to 2-0 after beating Pittsburgh Central Catholic, ranked No.159 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, 42-10. The game was part of the NFL Alumni Academy Freedom Bowl that was played at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio.

This weekend, the St. Ed will be tested by another out-of-state, nationally-ranked opponent. The Eagles will host three-time defending Colorado 5A champ Cherry Creek, coached by former NFL wide receiver Dave Logan.

Cherry Creek is currently No. 74 in our national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.

No. 2 Archbishop Moeller also picked-up a win against a nationally-ranked (No. 245), out-of-state foe. The Crusaders beat Kentucky-power Trinity 28-3. That win moved Moeller into the Top 25 of the HSFA national rankings at No. 23.
