HSFA Pennsylvania Top 25 high school football rankings - Week 9

Top-ranked St. Joseph’s Prep picked-up another quality win inside our national rankings. The Hawks beat Maryland’s Archbishop Spalding, ranked No. 94 in the High School Football America 300, 24-6 to improve to 7-1.

Prep remains at No. 9 in the HSFA 300, powered by NFL Play Football. The Hawks have been four teams that entered the game ranked nationally. St. Joe’s only loss (17-14) was against No. 5 IMG Academy (Florida).

St. Joe’s can wrap-up the Philadelphia Catholic League Red Division championship this weekend when it plays No. 6 Roman Catholic.

Inside the Pennsylvania Top 25 high school football rankings, No. 4 Downingtown East shutout former No. 22 Coatesville 22-0. The Cougars can win the Ches-Mont championship next week when it play arch-rival Downingtown West, ranked No. 22 in the state.

In another big regular season finale, No. 23 McKeesport plays No. 24 Thomas Jefferson.

There’s only one new team in the rankings this week. Chester makes its first-ever appearance at No. 25.
