HSFA Top 100 – No. 85 Cathedral Catholic wins California Division 1-AA state title

Cathedral Catholic (San Diego), ranked No. 85 in the High School Football America 100, powered by NFL Play Football, won its third California high school football state title with a 33-21 win over No. 126 Folsom in the Division 1-AA championship at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo.

Senior running back Lucky Sutton finished ran for 232 yards on 30 carries and one touchdown. He finished the season with 2,712 yards and 41 touchdowns. 

Quarterback Charlie Mirer completed only 4 of 9 passes for 59 yards, but two of the completions were for touchdowns to Rex Haynes.
