Illinois makes it official, high school football will open March 3

The Illinois High School Association is moving forward with a Spring high school football season. On Wednesday, the IHSA set the schedule for the dates for 2020 high school football season that was delayed while the state dealt with the coronavirus pandemic.

The first practice for teams across the state will be March 3 with the first games allowed on March 19. With no state playoffs, the six-game regular season will end on April 24.
